do any of you all have any recommendations or favorite things that you have used on your own person to help keep you from accidentally injuring yourself?
Not just hands/fingers/wrists. But also arms/elbows, shoulders, knees and ankles.
Not sure if you're still taking recs, but:
self-adhesive wrap bandage & old-fashioned athletic tape** are my besties for external bracing on ankles, knees, metatarsals, & forearm (for elbow pain)
I also have a soft elbow wrap to prevent over-flexion while I sleep. And a simple arm sling for relief when a shoulder goes cranky.
**not KT tape, which lifts skin away from muscle & connective tissue when what I want is an exoskeleton to take stress off the inner joint.
