Hello wonderful creative people!
Friendly reminder: Do whatever brings you joy!
No need to hesitate because the outcome might not meet your expectations, you still learn. And don't be precious about your supplies.
Just enjoy the process and improvement will come. Because you'll learn to use your supplies and get the results you want.
Learning takes time, so spend this time with joy rather than stress and anxiety.
(Goes for other forms of learning too. You can do it!)
So i'm hesitantly about to start - what will definitely be a long haul - on an art project and so this post was very well timed for me.
I know I'll make mistakes along the way but I'll learn during the process.
I want to sculpt my own ball jointed doll out of clay.
I suspect it's going to take at least a year before I have the first working prototype!
@Faintdreams Omg, this is such a cool project! I'm glad my little message was timed right for you and I 100% mean it. If you have fun, you will improve and continue to be invested in the project and stay motivated.
I see so many struggle with it, because they force themselves to do stuff they don't enjoy. Which also doesn't lead to improvement.
Ball jointed dolls out of clay look so cool but are so tricky. I believe in you and that you can do it! :)
