Just migrated my home systems from Microsoft #Office365 over to #LibreOffice. So far, pretty happy with the results under #MacOS, although that may have a lot to do with the Mac version of Office365 being a bit meh. I've not yet spent enough time using it under Windows10 or iOS to make any judgement calls there. My home needs from an office suite are far less demanding than they were for work purposes.
And while Apple’s office suite apps are ok, they never gelled for me. As for Google’s, well…
@owainski I like #iWork but it’s a different UI concept than the #MSO #OpenOffice concept so it takes a bit of getting used to. I’ve been using #LiO from its beginning on both #Windows and #Linux as well as #MacOS. The cross-device integration is much better with iWork and I’ve found #Numbers to be more advanced (at least for my limited use of spreadsheets) than either Excel or Calc. But if you use LiO on your desktop or notebook and #Collabora on your tablet or mobile, w/ the Cloud, they work.
@owainski honestly, my only problem with #iWork is that it doesn’t natively use or even import/export the #odf format. Any software needs to natively use #SI standards to be useful in this day and age, which for office/productivity software means #opendocumentformat.
