Just what makes a book cosy fantasy? I mean I feel like I know Legends and Lattes is, but beyond that I’m not sure what makes a fantasy book cosy.
@Quasar personal goals rather than a quest.... Limited violence/adventuring?
That just makes me think of it as an alt for Slice of Life. Which I’ve certain heard some anime fans call Legends and Lattes.
@Quasar that might be right? I wonder what other books have been labeled as cozy fantasy and what they are like
It seems super variable. I mean I saw one cosy list that included The Hobbit and Redwall.
@Quasar That is definitely odd but one thing I have noticed and been frustrated by is the extent to which people will stretch a fantasy genre category.
I'm now listening to the audio book of "A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking" which I hope will be cozy.
