I'm riffing an hack inspired by Doctors and Daleks that has "casters" who use social/mental maneuvers to trigger Morale checks rather than forcing Saving Throws.

For example, "No One Has To Get Hurt" prevents hostile physical attacks until someone else takes one.

The question: if I use a Spell Level ranking system, I'd prefer to use a different name that doesn't risk confusing Level with Level. Any suggestions?

@Rose_On_Mars

Rank?

Spell rank increases with character level?

@Rose_On_Mars “rank” would be my first thought. “Tier” would also work.

@Rose_On_Mars Off the top of my head there's circle, degree, magnitude, or bracket...

@Teyrnon Oh! I like Degree! It's both a quantitative measurement and a training/educational term.

@Rose_On_Mars If they are actual Spells, "Circle" can work:
"A spell of the 3rd Circle"
"2nd Circle spells"
