Been a while since I've dabbled in longer form #TTRPG #ActualPlay, but we have a Session 0 tomorrow and I have to say I'm really excited.
But, still a bit insecure... So any tips from people who have run more AP content on what to go through and focus on in a #Session0. Especially in an AP context? Even newbie tricks and tips appreciated, as they'll hopefully reaffirm I'm focusing on the right things already
@Strangeworlder Not so much from personal experience as "Things I wish we'd discussed more" in the stream we're about to start:
* Please know the system and your character's abilities. If you think sitting at a table waiting for someone to look up what each of their spells do is boring, imagine watching it on stream.
* Please keep your microphone muted when not actively participating.
* Please be on time. Most streams have a 15-20 minute "in call" time before going live.
@Strangeworlder * The GM should be honest and forthcoming about presenting situations that could potentially be X-carded, and the players should be honest and forthcoming about carding them if necessary. Nobody wants to have to watch the GM flounder because someone said "I, the player, am noping the f**k out of this."
* Time constraints. If a player has a hard stop, the GM and other players will have to plan to accommodate that. Also, see "please be on time" if your window is limited.
