(4 CTD: this is what got me started here, as I was thinking about the exceptionally strong Subplot rules in #DCHeroes 1E and how they provided as much systemic reward as capturing the villains. Easily the best part of the generally elegant DCHeroes system, the space for them was cut down in 2E and I believe more in 3E to make more space for powers and punching. Which isn't a bad Supers RPG name come to think of it!)
