Going on a trip to a cabin with no Internet and planning to use minimal/no screens for anything. Just a chance to disconnect and spend time with my family.
I am going to sneak in some me time and just trying to decide what physical book I'll take for some #soloRPG writing. Maybe a hexcrawl guide like Basilisk Hills or the hexcrawl toolkit from the same publisher? Myabe one of the many beautiful and interesting OSE adventures I've picked up but haven't cracked open yet? Or maybe just Maze Rats?
And... the answer was to take several books of various kinds and really just read more Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin and work on my own custom #soloRPG a bit! I think I'm going to be combining a lot of journal RPG elements with OSR-like philosophies while abstracting out certain details that slow play down. More details will be coming to those who're interested!
