I've also been sat thinking about a #Cypher #ttrpg campaign . Originally it was supposed to be a game where the ragtag group of players encounter extra-dimensional evils much like the creatures from the warp in 40k or Event Horizon in a Colonial Marines kinda way. But I now want to pivot towards mech pilots and am sat here ruminating on upgrade options and paths for said mechs. So yeah Mech Pilots versus extradimensional threats.
@Wintermane I'm reminded of an aspect of the Xenosaga series of JRPGs: mecha being a necessary tool for that job because of the need to use a piece of technology to force the foes to materialize sufficiently to fight back against (not just making them vulnerable, but also preventing them from attacking from extradimensional angles).
