It's a bit of a shot in the dark but a buddy gave me a hand me down GPU and I need to replace the thermal pads on it. Trouble is I can't find the info on thickness of the pads required anywhere ( And I have looked).
So does anyone know or know where I might find this info for a
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 WINDFORCE 2X 8G (rev 1.0)

So far I've managed to find one reply to a somewhat related thread on reddit that suggests 0.5mm pads on the VRAM and 1.0mm on the VRM sections.**

So... the previous information was apparently only partially correct and with samples in hand I was able to work out what was really needed. I intend to post a pic later on properly demonstrating which pads go where and which thicknesses are required should someone else down the line need the information.
But Tl;dr
0.5mm is too thin, so not needed.
1.0 mm, 1.5mm and 2.0mm will be required. Once they arrive Ill get the annotated photo up.
