Wow, first the D&D Beyond server crashed when word got out that unsubscribing was a good way to let WotC know of your extreme displeasure with their arrogant and grasping "OGL".
Now, Paizo's web site has collapsed following word that their working with third-party publishers on a new OGL called ORC.
If you need a metric that VAST numbers of people have been alienated by WotC's corpocratic turn, that's it.
@appelcline Except that Paizo's website might be best termed "notoriously un-robust." Over the years I have adopted the tactic of coming back and trying the next day when it seemed to be having performance issues, again.
@croyle Ha! yeah, you're right, that's not the first time I've found paizo.com unresponsive.
But given the crashes of D&D Beyond, Paizo, and also Kobold Press, I'd still guess they're seeing surges at least 5-10x over average.
@appelcline Agreed, there's no doubt the OGL drama is driving a lot of traffic.. Some company set up a Youtube watch party for the rumored wotc announcement that didn't happen and the comments were coming fast and non-stop for at least an hour.
