Ultimately I try to make it so that anything fun I buy (i.e., games and fandom kitsch) comes from independent creators. I #Kickstart #ttrpgs and #TarotDecks, buy off of #Etsy (Etsy sucks in many ways, but it is a way to find artists and creators to support), and follow creative types and look for interesting things in my feed.
Look, it's very difficult to 100% cut the big jerks like Amazon out entirely, but for my discretionary spending—my fun money—I don't want these corporate assholes getting that at least.
ANYWAY, my birthday's coming up, so I'm going to go check my family wishlist and take off any #DnD content and make sure I don't have any #Hasbro #boardgames on there. I don't want anyone to give them a dime on my account.
