Finally! It sure took a moment for it to get here 😒
Internally conflicting wants when playing TTRPGs Show more
I really want to play #TTRPG s with heavy focus on narrative and player interaction where the players lead the way... But I also want to run the world as a simulation offline... These two things seem to often collide even tho they should be able to be done kind of side-by-side 🤔
Meta, whining about bots Show more
Coming here from birdsite I'm kind of saddened about the quality of the bots in the federated timeline. They really aren't producing any interesting artifacts, and due to the low amount of toots to begin with the repetitive bots just sticks out a lot.
I fully understand and appreciate just experimenting and stuff, but i also don't like to manually mute spam just to be able to consume the timeline.
Games like Factorio, Zachtronics and, to a lesser extent, Terra Tech kind of gives me the same sense of creativeness as coding does. But they aren't as mentally exhausting since there are fewer fail states.
So whenever I don't have the energy to code, or do some shitty 3d-modelling, but still want to do something I usually play one of those games. 🙂
I really need to get around to creating the basis for the robot-roleplaying game I've been thinking about last couple of years.
I really want to have a system where the mechanical character development is expressed by in-game characters actions. Having a robot that can extend itself would really do that :)
Recently ordered #Microscope and I'm really looking forward to it!
Currently working on a setting for a #whitehack game. This will be the first "real" #osr project I inititate as a GM.
Whitehack seems like a really nice system, I'm really looking forward to seeing how my magic hack for it works out, wanted it to be very free form but still have a lot of flexibility. But if anyone knows of more established hacks to OSR magic systems I'd love to hear about it.
