On G+ one time I took a poll of, I dunno, 100 people in games.
An overwhelming majority said "I don't back kickstarters that don't have videos" and also "I never watch kickstarter videos."
I've lived in a state of resentment from that day.
So I'm kind of soft-launching the reboot of my blog today. I think 99% of it is in place and I'll work the kinks out as I go. I figured that a Cortex post would be a good way to start:

my only desire in life is to write cozy things about doing mundane stuff in fantasy worlds
A person near to me gifted me the Wanderhome book and wow, it’s just serene and beautiful 😍
“But even those moments aren’t truly failures in a pejorative sense. Mis- takes, maybe. Suffering at the cruelty of others. Listening to your body and your brain and accepting their natural limitations. But it doesn’t mean you’re a disaster, and it doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Your journey will just continue on another path.” #neededThis #depression #soothing
If you know anyone who needs art for their ttrpg, tell me, I could help if it's something simple. I'll do it for free, but just one or two pieces, just want to help the indie creators. I can't offer realistic pieces, sorry.
I'll only take request if I like the project, but I don't have really high standards.
I have 2 daughters. All of the most important people to me are women. An attack on women's rights, is an attack on all rights.
There is not much I can do, but I can design a game that is based around politics and taking action. And that's what I wrote this morning, "Fight For Rights" a game built on the Breathless SRD.
All proceeds from May 2022 will go to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

Bonus #ttrpg #worldbuilding question for today:
With today being Beltane, holidays/festivals are on my mind. One (afaik) universal trait among human cultures is we have festivals and holidays periodically. While every culture is unique, there do seem to be some commonalities (harvest festivals among agrarian societies, seasonal festivals for cultures in areas with defined seasons, etc).
What festivals are celebrated in your world? What’s common to all/most? What’s unique to one culture?
