Just finished my first #TTRPG session of the year: 2 hours playing the #Parsely scenario Action Castle. Imagine the old #Infocom text adventures, but with a GM parsing commands in place of a computer. Then add extra players (4 in my case) with limited table-talk, for a very #EveryoneIsJohn type experience. It was a heap of fun.
My #DnD5e group postponed for the night, but fortunately my GM for #RiversOfLondon came through. In his words (roughly), he’s running it like #TheBill, but with magick, and it’s a welcome change in tone. It feels very different to other procedural games that foreground the supernatural, but apply police investigation as a campaign frame. It doesn’t hurt that we draw as much from Blackstone’s as from the novels for inspiration. #ttrpg
