This is a find-your-people post for TTRPG folk.

Please respond by saying what sorts of TTRPG things you're *pretty likely* to either talk about or respond to if you see them.

This can be a list of games (D&D! Tribe 8! Fate!) or categories (the weirdest of indie stuff! NSR! Anything PBtA!), topics (Worldbuilding! Publishing!), stuff you're making, meta-commentary (The State Of The Industry), and so on.

Then maybe share, and if the replies are building up, check them for new people.

@LeviKornelsen (also, my plan post- is to actually take the time to re-organize my gaming shelves, and take that as an excuse to do a little tour through what I’ve got and why they're all worth keeping - I hope)

@frequentbeef @LeviKornelsen I'm absolutely here to chat about #Unknownarmies and I'm excitedly following the development of the new edition of #blueplanet.

I've not run the latter, but my two UA campaigns to date have been some of the best gaming I've ever been part of.

@Eclecticon yeah, both games are amazing and, perhaps serendipitously or ironically, they're both among the most intimidating RPGs to run, at least for me. Not because of any mechanical complexity, but just because the worlds are so rich and I want to live up to that. Delta Green is the third that has that looming weight on it, for me.

@frequentbeef I took the UA cosmology and magic system, and stripped everything else, sourcebooks, scenarios, whatever, for parts. I strung 'Green Glass Grail' out into a full campaign. It was glorious.

@frequentbeef @LeviKornelsen I'll bite on #shadowrun ... Which edition has the lowest barrier to entry? Thinking for my kids (7 and 9) and how it was introduced via the SNES game. Sadly I've never actually RPd, disorder having 3,4,5th Edition and multiple supplementals.
Nevermind what I believe is a complete set of the early English published novels.

@RyeNCode I think Shadowrun Anarchy might actually be the most straightforward and modern. It dresses things up like an indie game, despite being pretty crunchy still.

I spent most of my time with 2nd edition, I think, and that’s good for folks who like stuff to figure out. 6th doesn’t really work, so I’d probably recommend 5th if Anarchy isn’t your vibe.

@RyeNCode Or just run it in a completely different system, like or .

@frequentbeef @RyeNCode I am so waiting for a modern Shadowrun influenced fantasy cyberpunk game! I backed Subversion and Sinless when they kickstarted, but I am not sure if they will capture the lightning yet!

@KeroZelvin @RyeNCode Yeah, there are always folks who take a crack at it, but it seems like Shadowrun was a bit of a special moment. No one has figured out how to really craft a bottle for that lightning, not even Shadowrun itself, honestly.

@KeroZelvin have you tried #TORGeternity from #UlissesSpiele? The #Tharkold Technodemons, the #Cyberpapacy and especially #PanPacifica give you #Shadowrun experiences and more beyond that @frequentbeef @RyeNCode

@projektmyra @KeroZelvin @RyeNCode Torg is certainly its own special, silly beast, somewhat harkening back to a RIFTS conversation I had earlier this week. I've never been able to shake how cool of an idea the Cyberpapacy is, that's for sure.

For Shadowrun, though, if we're going far afield with systems and rebuilding it, would be my absolute top pick, for many reasons. would be a close second. Both are the best heist/score RPGs I've played.

@frequentbeef there is one FiTD project called Runners in the Shadows that hit a few years back. I never played it, so not sure how well it worked. I love FiTD in general, so I agree with your pick for a rebuild!

@projektmyra I will check out TORG, I haven’t seen it yet. Thanks for the tip!
