Pinned toot

Hola! I'm Rafael. By day, I write video games; by night, I create RPG stuff, mostly blood-soaked OSR adventures. In my spare time, I play with Glyos toys, because they are number one in my book. dice.camp/media/MxNBONgZW03myX

D&D, roll 3d6 for attributes: I let the players roll as many times as they like (10, 20, whatever). Keep the top 3 and the bottom 3. Then, during play, roll attribute checks like it's going out of style. Hilarity ensues.

Back in '84 or '85, a friend's mom bought him the Red Box, and he asked me to be the DM. We played every day for... Christ, I have no idea. It ended with him fighting his way into Hell and killing Satan with bone-swords made from demons. Good times.

Hey crew! I’m on a shoestring budget, but would like to pay someone for a fictional B&W city neighborhood map for card backgrounds in a card game I’m working on. Think Innsmouth. Anyone have a fantasy rpg cartographer on their list? Or signal boost this message?

My include a new sourcebook for Lamentations of the Flame Princess, an OSR version of my RPG Pandemonio, some new ViewScream adventures, and a horror novel. What about you?

If you're into old-school dungeon crawls: When you buy a module, what's the best-case scenario for room descriptions? Short and terse? All the info you require, organized in a certain way? Bulleted lists? Boxed text? Complete statblocks for every single monster and NPC? What's a perfect encounter description look like for you?

Last: ViewScream (Saint Bartholomew)

Best: Call of Cthulhu. Can't remember which edition, but that doesn't matter when Scott Dorward is the Keeper. It's always a blast. That guy inspires me.

Wanna: Hope to get in some 5E action in 2018. Haven't played it yet, quite curious.

1. The pentagram means I have a Verified Account here. Expensive, but worth it.
2. The Federation thing throws me for a loop, because I keep thinking about the Prime Directive and a future without seatbelts (get hit by photon torpedos, fly twenty feet across the room and smack facefirst into a console, no way to prevent that!).
3. I think that it would be cooler if they replaced "toot" with "tusk." But what do I know?
