James Wallis @jameswallis

You remember that 200-word RPG I wrote for a competition last month, 'These are animals', about being a kid taken away from their mother by officialdom?

Hundreds of shares on social media.

No comments from the judges.

Didn't make the final 50.

@tethre I don't think it's that good, but I was expecting at least a comment.

@jameswallis I bet this would have done really well if you'd skinned it slightly differently. (Perhaps somewhat ironically, it would even more or less function as a one-player-one-GM paranoia-lite).

@jameswallis that is too bad, it is an excellent game.

@jameswallis The judges probably never read it: Those finalists went up the very next day after the deadline for READERS, of which there were many. Each of us were given a slice of the total and told to pick 5 favorites. No comments asked for nor accepted.

To be honest, my batch didn't even have 5 I was excited about. I wish yours had been in it.

@JasonT Thanks, that's really interesting to know.
