Thanks to the Loose Playbooks jam, there's been a lot of interest in playbooks for Thirsty Sword Lesbians! I love to see it!

To help facilitate that, I've put together a writing and formatting style guide for anyone to use!

Find it here: docs.google.com/document/d/1df

Right off the bat, I want to emphasize that this style guide is here to help you, not hinder you. If you find these "rules" limiting, take this tweet as license to ignore them! The books themselves break the rules, why shouldn't you?

With that said, this guide covers verbiage such as phrasing moves and standardizing verbs, as well as formatting details like what terms to capitalize, how to style lists, etc. These are observations from the books, plus some guidance kindly provided by @gayspaceshipgms

I recommend consulting this guide after you've written your playbook but before you start doing any layout work

To that end, right at the top you'll find links to @gayspaceshipgms 's excellent advice about writing playbooks for TSL!

If you think of any additional details that should be added to the guide, feel free to leave a comment in the document, reply here, or DM me!

Please consider this a living document. Guidance will be added over time, so you may want to check back from time to time

@konahart I really gotta say it was very helpful to have to look over, if only just to confirm that for the most part I did have a grasp on like... the voice of written rules for TSL.

So extremely cool of you to share this resource!
