I have discerned that it was not my Kinesis Advantage 2 dying. It was my USB Switch…. AGAIN (like 5th one).

Is there a similarly ergonomic, ortholinear, split, Bluetooth, multi-device keyboard I can buy and get shipped NOW?

Back in 2020 I spent some time making a flow chart for D&D combat without leaving anything out.

I find it both amazing and terrifying. I honestly wonder how people manage to play this (myself included).

I made a high-level flow chart to help my players with Savage Worlds / Savage Pathfinder combat at a typical level of mental abstraction.

TTRPG Suggestions / Knowledge wanted:

I'm looking for suggestions for TTRPGs that use card decks to indicate what you've discovered, encountered, etc. Doesn't have to be a required thing for the game. Just any game with an example of this that's fun to interact with. For an example of the kind of thing i'm talking about, here's the Mutant: Year Zero Card Deck.

is this a display bug or are Australian's _really_ well practiced at dividing by 12?

I'd like your thoughts on something. I believe (possibly incorrectly) that most people have something they do/use, and care about, where they've learned to notice things that could be improved. You see the rough edges that casual user's don't.

What is the key to _starting to notice those_? It's not "just time using it". There's something else.

Is it _just_ the fact that you care a lot about it? Is there a way to teach those who are less passionate to notice what you do?

TIL that if you see a cat walking around with an orange collar you should take note because it's a cat that's not supposed to be outside.

Were you aware of this?

(share to help spread what seems like a good idea)

Updated my profile header to be a picture of my main RPG bookshelf. Not so much trying for "geek cred" as OMG SQUEE 🤗 I LOVE RPGs! 💕 LET'S CHAT ABOUT ANY OF THESE! Or, better yet, Let's play!

you know, just in case you need another player for that one-shot or... whatever.

Things autism research could be about:

- How does autism radar work?
- Do we have an easier time communucating with other autistics because our ways of communication are similar, or because we've all had to learn to accomodate the people we're talking to?
- What can be done to prevent and treat autistic burnout?
- What even *is* autistic burnout exactly?
- What effects does masking have on your mental health?
- What autistic traits are actually traits of autism, and which ones are trauma responses?
- How is a non-traumatized autistic brain work?
- How can we better accomodate autistic people?

What autism research is about:
- How do we make the autistic people stop existing?

TIL there was a “not Gerry” on the Misdirected Mark podcast … who was this strange “Todd” person and what happened to them?!

her best friend is a rat who lived in the walls of a church and was accidentally "awakened" by a very drunk human (normal sized) cleric who was very confused as to why his spell "didn't work".

Also of note, is that she's the _worst_ character to be attacked physically. Owing to a desperate encounter with a hawk that was carrying her off to be dinner (she's ~9cm tall) she is physically weak as 💩 (permanently). Good w/ magic, but has essentially no hope of physically fighting off anything.

she was yanked backwards, slamming to the ground, while being pulled rapidly towards the mist.

She yelled out "Les!" (the name of her best friend and companion) with her arm stretched out towards him.

And that's where I ended the session.

From the GM perspective, I didn't want to disrupt their happy evening, but i had a huge Doom Pool that needed to be spent. ;)

Last night, the gang came across an abandoned mill building that was fortuitously dry. They even found dry wood to build a fire. For the first time in days, spirits were lifted.

Late in the night, my favorite character was sitting watch, looking out the doorway with the fire to her back. She noticed a thick mist covering the ground, and then a tentacle starting to snake it's way out of it. Before she could do anything it shot out, grabbed her ankle....

without exaggeration, this may be the best visualization of a dwarven underground city that I've ever seen. From "The Weekly Roll" ch. 116.

I browse with the DarkReader plugin turned on (so much easier on my eyes). Sometimes a site doesn't handle it well. Sometimes, it looks... odd and I wonder what the "real" version looks like. I just encountered the latter.

The screenshot with the Grey background was what i saw with DarkReader. The Yellow is what i saw when I turned it off. Holy 💩 Batman! TURN IT BACK ON!!!!
