In case you think I love D&D5e, there are enough things I hate about it, that I can't even run it out the box and have multiple pages of custom rules.
Pathfinder2 vs D&D5e is like apples and oranges (even more so now that I am learning more about PF2e).
For example, the 3 actions in PF2e giving you more actions is a lie (because A one of those actions is your move that D&D does for free), 2 many spells and actions take multiples, which just makes it into action and bonus action.
But I dislike how dishonest pathfinder apologists are about the action economy between the games, and the illusion of being able to do anything. There are so many restrictions in PF2e, that makes it unfun.
And there are too many glossed over ideas in 5e to be any fun. Long distance movement, economics of the game (like gold and making purchases), how to reward players properly.
Every weakness PF2e has, D&D has as a strength, and every weakness D&D has, Pathfinder has as a strength.
I mean... not literally, but anyways.... both games are not anywhere near perfect for everyone, but people who LIKE 5e, are not going to automatically like PF2e, and people who like PF2e are not going to automatically like 5e.
Not only that, morally speaking, d&d5e is built on the backs of horrible people and decisions. So I will NEVER fault someone for hating it.
