I just spent half an hour curating random nouns. Each one is something I feel could be the seed for a whole setting.

I've done a hundred and it feels like a lot but it also feels like there's pretty much zero coverage of the possibilities. Go to a thousand or talk process instead?

How many of them get used by one go through of the process?

@paulczege They are intended just as idea generators, to get you started on the underlying theme of a location. So you probably use one, chosen as-randomly-as-you-like-or-don't.

@paulczege I expect that in real use (certainly my use) they will often spin off a different idea, so maybe coverage isn't important.

You could probably find an interesting way to present hundreds of them. Do them as a running header through the whole book. Something like that.

@paulczege Yeah that's what I was thinking -- page flip as randomizer.
