@genesisoflegend Otherwise I love this so much. Definitely want to get it to the table.

@genesisoflegend Some After the War questions.
1) Was the PDF ever updated, and does the print version reflect any kind of update?
2) There's a couple inconsistencies. The timeline says the first FTL took two years ship time but 40 on Earth (and only two weeks return because of improvements) but the timeline seems to indicate only two years. Also the section on Tormenta says that Tormenta Prime's body was imprisoned under guard with a minefield vs a terraforming bomb to keep it subdued.

I realized last night I actually have After the War by @genesisoflegend but it kind of slipped through the cracks. Started reading it today...I absolutely love this game. The setting is really evocative. I'll likely run it with the system as is, but I'm getting really cool ideas for Cortex mods from it.

@peteramthor I don't know if they really explain what the main character does to "hack" stuff, but a wireless neural interface would work. You can change traffic lights, open and close automated things like gates, bridges, doors, traffic control devices, get info on people, etc. Throw in drones and cameras and you have a party.

@peteramthor Go full on Watchdogs with wireless neural interfaces that they can use to do all of that.

@GoblinQuester You have to work yourself up to being able to last through the extended edition of A Girl Doesn't Get Killed By A Make-Believe Lover

Also I had a friend who insisted the chorus to Dead Stars was "Drunk still can't dance"

🎲I've been working on Yonder, a Free dice roller that works within google sheets

Right now it supports PbtA, FitD and d20-like games, as well as Troika and Flying Circus directly

Try it and let it me know if it works for you!!

@epidiah Databases pay my bills so they're not really evil.

Now developers doing things in databases without consulting with a DBA. That's evil.

Huh, there's only a handful of duplicates between Short Order Heroes and Tales of Xadia's adjective list. For the uninitiated, the adjectives modify a smaller list of vocations, and both combined provide a list of SFX the player can choose from. So you can have a "Patient Advisor".

This is actually a good thing because it means I can present SoH as an alternate way of randomly determining the adjective and I get to write a bunch of SFX.

@ScottMGS Yeah I tried to organize it in a way that made sense because I have control over the taxonomies.

So I'm kind of soft-launching the reboot of my blog today. I think 99% of it is in place and I'll work the kinks out as I go. I figured that a Cortex post would be a good way to start:

Holy shit...just deployed my blog through Netflify and...it worked. The DNSes are redirecting and the certificates are certificating and the servers are serving.
I have some stuff to fix up before the grand re-opening, but this is good stuff.

This project makes me so proud! anarchodom.itch.io/shock-human

@AnarchoDom has been redesigning my Shock:Social Science Fiction for use in classrooms. He’s using it to teach a college class about culture and ethics.

That makes me so proud and happy!

@chrismennell @gallowglas You can always just put a CW for " Possible disturbing imagery". But yeah for sure I've tried to get into the habit of tagging every image.

I figured out how to add a widget to my blog in Hugo in like 30 minutes. I've spent much more time trying to customize a hosted blog. Usually the themes are very constrained and sometimes hard to customize. I'm pretty happy with this so far.
