Oof. I wasn't feeling particularly dysphoric going in, but I sure feel it coming out. Victoria's Secret is not a place for the faint of heart.
@taedryn Had my first visit at a proper dessous boutique with a (cis) friend of mine. She dragged me into her favorite shop (Rigby & Peller). I had a real bra fitting. I thought I'd die in that cabin
But they were so lovely. When Rebekka later visited the shop again, the manager asked her to give me her regards.
Me: "I seem very have made quite an impression."
She: "Sure you have. "
So my tip is to find a small shop with a good reputation. It's a difference like day and night.
@taedryn I'm a (femme, (generally) cis woman) and have only had trash, dispiriting experiences in Victoria secret shops.
If you have any stores near you try a Bravissimo store.
Their staff is generally better trained and they hire diverse body shapes so there is no body size/shape policing.
Good luck
