Tuonel

Little over half of the team built and based.

Experimenting with glue to reinforce the tape covering the slots in the bases. The glue is pooling on the feet of some. I figure I'll treat glue covering feet as mud or sludge.

They've been fun to build and imagine playing. Still unsure of color scheme but everything in its time. Love working with models that don't take themselves too seriously.

@tuonel as a long time bb nerd i can give you two avenues of approach on the slotta bases:

1) cut match sticks to size and sand them down to the right thickness - glue those in

Or, my favourite these days

2) order 400 blind bases and not bother with the slottas ever again😆

@roofuskit @tuonel hear hear! This is my preferred supplier too!

@erikcats @roofuskit Thanks! In your experience do ball holes in bases get used much? Enough that it's worth drilling a regular base?

@tuonel @erikcats I have ball holes in mine, but a lot of people don't use them. There are solutions like special markers you can drop a base into to show possession. Some people use magnets in the bases. And drill out the pegged balls.

@tuonel @roofuskit in my experience no one but five very stubborn people uses them. I used to be the sixth but the constant question 'where's the ball?' became very very annoying with ageing eyes.

There are all tokens in great variety. Most Common are poker chip type markers that you put the model on. Many of those have a ferro core and take to the magnets roofus mentioned.
