99. () Actually the 100th game this year because I can't count. We're on Foundry now which makes DCC run much more easily. It's not complicated, there are just many tables to roll on. And we're powering through the fights. It seems a PC might die at any minute but a good spell roll really nerfs the enemies, even at first level.

97 ()

More tales of the angry duck, this time getting into trouble with a kindly elf for setting fire to his garden. Well, the murderous vines started it. We may have bitten off more than we can chew after the mage fireballed the vine and everyone else caught up in it. Combat is brutal, especially with no healing.

92 ()

We started the session in the best possible way, three fumbles and then blundered our way through a bandit encampment before fighting a dangerous beast while blindfolded. Even with VTT, combat is pretty slow, but it was exciting and we triumphed in extremis. The only one action per round makes combat pretty deadly if you're not wearing 6pts of armour like my murderous duck.

91 () Three sessions cancelled this week due to gallstones, but I'm back in the saddle and we're kicking evil's ass. Our PCs seem rather OP compared to the creatures we're facing. In the final encounter my Elf spellburns his Swords of Atropos gets some halfling luck added and ends up with 3 swords with +8 to hit doing 6d14+6 damage in total. But before his turn comes around the beast is already dead! I roll anyway, 56 damage to its mouldering corpse.

90 () We futher explored Outskirt, this forsaken town in the wilderness and found our Elvish knight contact murdered. And then the gastritis that had afflicted me earlier came back and I had to stop. So my angry duck trudged back to the inn and sat there for a while, thinking about demons and how to kill them.

89 ( Games) We really got into the game this week, with lots of spells and checking tables every time a dice is rolled. If there were an app*, it'd be an easier to play system but it relies on having a lot to hand. But we're getting used to it and it's getting quicker. And it's still great fun.

*Roll20 doesn't work well for all of us and we don't have Foundry.

84. and 86 ( Games) and Dragon Bane (). A couple of session zeroes. In the first we did the transition from funnel to first level, and I found that DCC rules get quite complex and the large hardback is so heavy that I was quite exhausted after an hour of going through it on my lap. But then we found a great character keeper.

Dragon Bane was mostly about getting Foundry to run on my laptop, installed Firefox, moved Discord chat to my phone.

81. ( Games) Not a lot of gaming at the moment but we did play a funnel last weekend. I lost three of my four PCs, one was gobbled up before he had the chance to do anything at all. But the elf sage survived for bigger and better things I'm sure. He has -1 languages from low luck, so this is the first time he's met any non-elves.

78. () Archie and Cassie check to see that the World is back to normal, that everyone who should be dead still is. The situation seems resolved, but there are consequences, passing inconsistencies for Cassie, quantum superpositions. And Archie's girlfriend has been having the same dreams as him, haunted by an absent woman.

68. () A new game this week as I get to play for a change. We intrepid explorers of the unknown set out across the desert to see what is messing with the drug trade. Almost lost a PC in the first skirmish, Troika is very unforgiving. But it's great gonzo fun generally as we cross the tropes and find mad solutions to crazy problems.

65. () Almost 3 weeks without a game 😱. Archie and Cassie find the camp of the person they are following but she has disappeared. What with somnambulant people wandering about the mountain and a stone age encampment made of bones in a forest outside a ruined and abandoned city, there's a lot going on for such a remote place.

Other games played were (1 session unless specified):
Mutant Year Zero (4)
Tiny in the Tower (4)
Skate Wizards (2)
Blade Runner
DCC
Les Mystères de Paris
Over The Edge
NDA playtest
Dreamland
Mork Borg
Darkness of the Demimonde

So 14 different systems in all.

So far this year, I've played 64 sessions of RPGs. I've gamed in person twice, the rest online.19 as a player in 12 different systems and 25 as a GM in three different systems.

I've run Trail of Cthulhu 25 times, 22 times for Fearful Symmetries and my Abbots Bromley game thrice, once as a one off in person game, and three times on line.

I've run 13th Age 17 times online and played once in person.

I ran Trophy Gold, one incursion, over 3 sessions.
