Piscine Tournesol - A 1970s abandoned swimming pool in France

“Tournesol” translates to sunflower, and relates to the shape and unique mechanisms of the dome covering the pool. It was able to slide open to allow in the sun, the segments moved on rails allowing them to be closed throughout the day. Following the sun's path, like a sunflower!

Sadly, it was demolished in 2018.
