A happy Sunday morning.

I just cancelled my #Adobe subscription and bought the #Affinity Apps universal license from Serif. affinity.serif.com/

I'm not jingoistic in the slightest, but buying from a UK company rather than a US one was a surprising cherry on top. Thanks JD Vance. (Always add the JD, because we've got a *lot* to thank Jack Vance for, and I want nobody confusing numbnuts with brilliance)

Ok, now I have to learn how to use these excellent purchases.

Experiencing brush lag since the last few updates in Affinity photo. Somehow this only affects the Windows version and not MacOS, leading me to think it's a problem with going from .exe to .msi installers.
Tried enabling/disabling openCL, etc. Kind of unusable now.

Anyone else experienced this recently?

I’m super tired. I’ve only slept 2 hours. So after lunch I have made my own Nego game set, designed in #Affinity Designer and glued on foam board with double sided tape. An hour of relax to confront the afternoon. Now I must resume work.
I know. I don’t make much sense of myself.

An #Photoshop werde ich aber wohl nicht vorbei kommen. Zwar kann #Affinity wohl einige Plugins übernehmen, wie @olivergiel schon geschrieben hatte, aber mir würden die automatischen Masken in #CameraRAW zu sehr fehlen (und Zeit ist ja auch Geld). #C1 kann das zwar auch, aber das und Affinity zusätzlich - dann kann man eigentlich auch gleich bei #Adobe bleiben was die Fotoprodukte angeht. Zumal ich C1 von der Bedienung her nicht mag.

Before panicking on #affinity adding some "Ai" features to 2.6 release, please note:

A - It is not generative AI, just two selection tools. It does not generate anything.

B - You should install the pre-trained model only if you want to use it, nobody forcing you. Is not installed nor active by default.

C - It works locally on your computer, with no online connection, no environmentally damaging datacenters involved and no data send to nowhere.

I'm firmly against generative Ai, This is not.

各デザインツールのリサイズハンドル（いわゆるバウンディングボックス）の UI や挙動の違い。

ハンドルの中のクリック位置のオフセットを考慮してくれるのは #Photoshop と #Affinity だけなの知らなかった。
それ以外の #Figma とかではドラッグのときに掴んだ位置がハンドルポインターの四角の中心からずれた位置だったら、ドラッグ操作が始まった瞬間にポインターの位置にハンドルが瞬間移動しちゃう。細かい挙動の違いではあるけど自分は前者が好き。
まあこれは慣れと好みの範囲のような気もするけど、#Illustrator と#Photoshop は同じ #Adobe のツールなのに挙動が違うのはちょっとどうなのかー :tony_grinning:
