It&#39;s early days, so there&#39;s not a lot to see yet, but it will flesh out in the months to come as I add blog posts about my experiences publishing my first novel, spotlight some worldbuilding, and share some short fiction set in Enid and Rue&#39;s world. </p><p>Please check it out and let me know what you think!</p><p>You can find it here: <a href="https://www.theshawncarpenter.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">theshawncarpenter.com/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/amwriting" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>amwriting</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/fantasy" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>fantasy</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ttrpg</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/Ageofsail" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Ageofsail</span></a></p>

Clarissa C. S. Ryan<p>I have an <a href="https://wandering.shop/tags/AgeOfSail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AgeOfSail</span></a> fan person right in my house, and this novel I'm working on isn't set in our world anyway, but I still feel like I need to know more about ships than I currently do. I have a stack of pirate-related nonfiction to get through first, though!</p>
J. L. Bell<p>I’m trying to find how sailors of the late 1800s made their way along decks during nighttime storms when visibility was poor.</p><p>I recall reading about men feeling their way along ropes strung between parts of a ship, but I can’t find references to that.</p><p>Modern sailors use tethers attached to jacklines running from bow to stern to keep themselves on board during a storm. Back in the 1800s, “jackline” had a different meaning, alas.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/AgeOfSail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AgeOfSail</span></a></p>
