YES! We need to start a trend on Mastodon with this. Here's my house panther modeling an old bottle of Aveda spray shine.

Short haired, ear tipped black cat curled up on a bed with blue and white bedding in front of a window with white blinds. He's giving me a look like "WTF Mom" because I have balanced a small, dark blue bottle of Aveda spray-on shine against his body. No, I don't use it on him, he is actually that shiny. It doesn't quite do that to my hair, either. Life's just not fair.

I think I see where Portland can get the money to cover the budget gap. Maybe reduce the PPB budget to cover things like clean water and sidewalks and parks.

Although this shows that the Police budget is the largest portion of the General Fund (the discretionary portion of the budget being argued over), that PPB pie slice doesn't show the additonal PPB costs not included in their budget--e.g., the money PDX property taxes pay into PPB pensions, and the money the general fund spends in response to civil or tort claims when people object to being abused by police, and the money spent on 'risk management' insurance to try to get ahead of those claims.
