Today's is my mashup. In a bid to complete an enemies-to-lovers arc, the crew will be trying to stop a ritual that has been antagonizing the demon Saatara. Somehow this will also set them up for the campaign closing sabotage of Lord Dalmore's coalworks. How is up to the players' creativity; I'm just the GM.

Tonight's game of Blades in the Dark will see The Ferrymen head out into the Void Sea.

They are smuggling Milos "The Hammer Miller - leader of the Rail Jacks - from Duskvol to Whitehollow as there are threats on his life

The Ferrymen as a group don't got much experience on the Void Sea so we'll see how they manage.

This newsletter article got plugged in @mtblack's ttrpg newsletter and I found it a very interesting read! I must confess I've been guilty too of using clocks-as-HP instead of countdowns (or ups) that drive the narrative forward. If you use clocks a lot, i.e. and have a itching feeling you could get more mileage out of them, this article might be for you.

April is shaping up to be a good month. Last week I played in our Alpha Centauri game. This week I get to playtest a game. Then the week after that, I'll GM our Genesys mash-up. And by the end of the month, it will be time to play Alpha Centauri again. Haven't had this full a month in a long time. 😍

Today's session was a big success -- especially since I ran it with zero prep *and* whilst GMPCing. Great fun, jumped straight into the action (desperate roll against a ghost) and came up with a very nice occult storyline as we went along. We'll be having a vampire physiker cohort in our crew in a few sessions (unless something happens, which it always does, I suppose).

I picked up a copy of "Blades in the Dark" this week, and have been looking through it.

Liking what I'm seeing so far, and I have to say the internet folks who said "Candela Obscura is a cut-down version of Blades in the Dark" were on to something, there's a very strong resemblance.

At least that means the mechanics are going to be really familiar...

6. Most recently played? Blades in the Dark
7. Most recently run? Dying Earth (Pelgrane)

#BITD CN signals were approach-lit except at interlockings like 55th Ave (which is now just east of VIA Dorval now & not at 55th!) where they were always lit. AFAIK, CN's line from (say) Turcot (because I don't recall the name of the subdivision out past Dorval where it became the Kingston Sub, was always bidirectionally signaled. That wasn't always true on the adjacent CP subs but I think it is now. The signal regime on CP is different, too,…

Terrific session of Blades in the Dark tonight!

We covered post-score wrap up, downtime activities, and free play as well as discussed what the players wanted to do as a crew going forward

It wasn't world shaking stuff but choice making for next steps in the game which was gold for me as a GM

Just finished GMing our sixth session of Doskvol. The PCs used almost all their downtime on reducing heat from their previous splashy heist, then headed into the Lost District to cross two small tasks off their job board. They had their first combat encounter ever.
