Grrr another road bike issue tonight. Topped up the pressure, all was good. Get half a mile from home, rear tube finds a gap between the rim and tire and blows.

At least it was close enough to walk home, and I just took the Brompton right back out the door for a cool 33 mi.

Ah well, it beats car maintenance by orders of magnitude. But I think I'm done with this folding tire soft bead thing, not the first time this has happened. I gotta find somewhere in #Boston that will sell me 27-¼ wire bead tires.

Durch ein spontanes Kinderfrei konnte ich meinen heutigen Arbeitsrückweg strecken und noch fix auf Wald- und Wiesenmodus kalibrieren. Richtig guter Arbeitsausgleich, jedes mal aufs Neue.

Morning mtb ride with friend ended on a costly note when rear triangle of her fat bike hit a bit of rock in a tricky section and caved in a threaded insert. I don't know much about possibility of repair or if this section is already well reinforced for the insert, but usually carbon seems to be declared totaled when damaged.

Had a little rain overnight but the trail dirt just soaked it all up. Really nice morning out. Photo is of a rock ledge we just climbed onto, evergreens surround it as the trail winds off up ahead
At the trailhead a mt bike propped up against a large mound of snow the city dumps here during winter. It is mostly covered in dirt, which might be why it is slow to melt, but here on the north side there’s a good sized crack where you can see the snowpack

#30DaysOfBiking Day 22:
Due to schedule, I got out at dawn to get a quick ride in. It had rained earlier, so a bike with fenders was in order. It is still cloudy, cool and windy. A lot of people walk their dogs just before sunrise, so caution on the trails was needed. I rode the West section of the new Chester Woods Trail and the whole ride was 11 miles.
