TL;DR the study says that carbon capture technology, if it existed and they used it, still wouldn't outweigh the damage Drax will do by operating until 2050.
So what Schmidt is saying that we can be hopeful that AI will somehow solve the climate problem before the problem becomes unsolvable. all the while aggravating it as it's developed...
