About 20 years ago I bought a book called "The Complete Book of Sewing Shortcuts". It's out of print, so here's how it says to sew darts. Put tape on your sewing machine in a straight line from the needle out. Cut small clips at the dart base and put in a pin 1/8" lower than the point. Fold the fabric lining up the clips and align the point with the tape. Sew to the pin, remove it and sew one more stitch. Chain off enough thread to knot. Do not backstitch. Press. Works like a charm. #sewing #crafting #cosplay #technique

Lately I’ve been working with #Pixelblaze Picos and pebble LEDs strands of various types, and I made some helper boards to make wiring them up easier! Here’s a video about it, explaining how to use them to create a continuous LED chain with tentacles that drop down. I think these would be great for #cosplay and making a skirt. I used the airbrush and a mix of black and umber washes (roughly 3:2) for weathering of the test stormtrooper helmet. I really like the effect. Looks like it saw a lot of duty. So now it should be compliant with the Star Wars style guide and look dirty and used.

Ich trage dabei immer ein altes T-Shirt der #Dokomi und heute hat mich eine andere Kursteilnehmerin gefragt, ob ich mich mit #3DDruck auskennen würde.
Ihr Sohn würde dieses Jahr zum ersten Mal auf die Dokomi gehen und möchte sein erstes #cosplay anfertigen.
Ob ich beim Bearbeiten des Druckdatei helfen könnte.

A random question about #cosplay and prosthetic makeup:
Is it possible to make a cast of only one half (or one quarter) of your head for the purpose of making a headpiece for a costume? Or would it be far easier to make a traditional full-head cast and only work on the part you're interested in?
Aiming to be ready to take pre-made and custom orders from May 2025.
The Version 1 has had a complete overhaul and now has more fluid facial animations.
I'm planning to take it to a local anime con next month so will have plenty of photos! ^w^
