I've argued the exact same thing EXCEPT that was during the general election. From election to end of primary season, criticizing the dems is essential to have a better party. From end of primary to end general election season, that's when you shut up because the race has been locked down and you get 2 choices only. You NEED to sell you side and only focus on the positives and the negatives of the opponents. Apparently most people don't even pay attention to the election or politics until after labor day anyway. This is the reality of the two party system. In ranked choice voting or approval voting, you would have the ability to vote for and push for your favorite will way less flaws in your mind because of competition. That's not our current material reality as leftists like to say, so we must live in those conditions while working toward changing that reality.
