Finished #DiscoElysium for the first time recently. Wow, what a game. The world building and writing are among some of the best I've seen from a game.....super cool to see a #CRPG that doesn't have any combat!

What's everyone else been playing lately? Any thoughts on DE? I highly recommend it though (don't buy it tho! Get it elsewhere! The original devs got fucked over by the company.)

I finally "finished" Disco Elysium yesterday. I've played it a couple times and watched a couple let's plays but never got to the end.

It's really good.

It also explores the pitfalls of extremes in various political stances, in an alternate universe that feels like the early and mid-20th century earth.

Very thought provoking. Wonderful writing. Deep atmosphere. If you don't have the patience to play, watching a let's play is great, though you've got to let someone else make the decisions.

I enjoyed quill18's playthrough on YouTube. He's good because he is fluent in French, so he could translate some of the bits. And he chooses the communist path and leans into some of Harry's natural traits.

He still didn't unlock Cindy the Skull's brilliant meta dialogue about the role of counterculture in maintaining the status quo. I've only seen that once in 4 plays/views.

Make it about an underground dogfighting ring, the harsh complexities of small town life, skills in the form of animal ghosts that got stuck in your psyche during a failed ritual, and heavy environmental themes, and a Disco Elysium-style game about finding a cat in the Alps would slap, actually.

Stepping away from the tabletop, has a deal for $13 that includes and and it's worth it for those two games alone. I adore the first and have only dabbled in the latter but loved it, too.

It also includes 1 & 2, , and , but 15% off Citizen Sleeper 2.

Seriously, if you don't mind a lot of reading in your video games, get these.
