I finally "finished" Disco Elysium yesterday. I've played it a couple times and watched a couple let's plays but never got to the end.
It's really good.
It also explores the pitfalls of extremes in various political stances, in an alternate universe that feels like the early and mid-20th century earth.
Very thought provoking. Wonderful writing. Deep atmosphere. If you don't have the patience to play, watching a let's play is great, though you've got to let someone else make the decisions.
I enjoyed quill18's playthrough on YouTube. He's good because he is fluent in French, so he could translate some of the bits. And he chooses the communist path and leans into some of Harry's natural traits.
He still didn't unlock Cindy the Skull's brilliant meta dialogue about the role of counterculture in maintaining the status quo. I've only seen that once in 4 plays/views.
