I just released version 0.2.5 of kanban.el for #Emacs #orgmode

The new version adds special handling for links within the file: do not add the file as prefix.

This makes HTML export actually usable when using 'file as scope.

Why is #Emacs diff-mode so sluggish? Opening a large (several MB) patch causes Emacs to totally lock up for 10s of seconds. I shouldn't have to reach for `colordiff | less` (which is perfectly snappy).

I want to start using #emacs as a way to write my blog. What are some good tutorials for doing this?

I do hope @ubuntublog can keep us notified of the #KubuntuCrisis fix. #Ubuntu 25.04 so far leaves me with machines too slow to run video, half-speed ethernet, and now #Emacs tells me my #mastodonel credentials are invalid, and fails when I try to forget and reset. So basically, until I can puzzle it out, or someone posts a fix, my phone is my most functional computer!

Dumping Firefox-snap did help, a lot, but still not like it was pre-upgrade. Still hunting missing drivers. (kmsro?)

When opening an Org file, I like seeing the headers but prefer the drawers to be hidden. Here's a config that gives you that:

(setopt org-cycle-hide-drawer-startup t)
(setopt org-startup-folded 'nofold)

I've found this config especially useful if you use #journelly which puts a lot of useful meta-data into the drawers, but not what I necessarily want to see up-front.
