Alameda Post<p>Small, iconic, and endangered, California least terns return every year to Alameda. In the early 1970s, the NAS Alameda base commander’s wife noticed and protected about 10 pairs of birds. In 2024, over 500 nests were recorded. Alameda Post<p>The City of Oakland is set to receive $3,164,649 to clean up the Oakland Alameda Estuary, as part of a nationwide marine debris removal project funded. By about 4 p.m. the clouds were really rolling in and I knew that daylight would be fading soon so I grabbed the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/eBike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>eBike</span></a> and headed for a short loop often I ride which goes through <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/DiabloFoothills" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DiabloFoothills</span></a> park and <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/BorgesRanch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BorgesRanch</span></a>.</p><p>I absolutely love the shades of <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/green" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>green</span></a> we get this time of year in this part of California! It's in Castro Valley and San Leandro.
