An Italian Wall Lizard (Podarcis siculus), European Firebug (Pyrrhocoris apterus), Rose-ringed Parakeet (Psittacula krameri) and False Yellowhead (Dittrichia viscosa), all spotted at Boboli Gardens, Florence, Italy on 14 Oct 2024.

Behold it is Nabis the Damsel Bug!

This is another insect I found on my run today through Ōtautahi-Christchurch city, NZ. This native nymph has just polished off a colony of exotic aphids that had infested the tip of a wild Senecio hispidulus plant.

Natural enemies like Nabis are busy keeping insect pests in check all about us every day.

Treat them with respect and they will work for you.
