Und das erste Mini-Shooting ist im Kasten! Im Angebot hatte ich ja die Narzisse mit cremefarbenen Blüten – aber in Gießen gab es die Möglichkeit, die gelben Osterglocken als Kulisse zu nutzen. Und gern kann ich auch zu euch fahren, wenn ihr eine tolle Location in der Nähe habt.
Hier in Wetzlar gibt es sowohl gelbe als auch cremefarbene Blüten. Wer möchte seinen Hund oder sein Pferd darin fotografiert haben? Diese Location kann auch mit Blaustern und bei passendem Blütenstand mit Magnolie kombiniert werden.

Der Frühling steht in den Startlöchern. Bald sollte das erste Mini-Shooting der Saison möglich sein! Meldet euch schon jetzt bei mir, damit wir möglichst flexibel loslegen können, sobald die Blüten da sind.
Magnolie-Narzisse-Blaustern in Wetzlar!
Aber hier erst Mal ein Reminder – schiebt Fotos nicht immer auf später auf. Manchmal verpasst man dadurch die schönen Möglichkeiten. Meine traumhafte Magnolie vom letzten Jahr wurde drastisch beschnitten.
Hundefotos sind noch möglich – aber da müssen wir ein bisschen kreativ werden. Für Pferde sollte die Location kein Problem sein. Allerdings müssen diese an der Location Top ausgebildet und absolut brav sein.
Möglich wäre auch (je nach Blütenstand), die drei Locations zu kombinieren, da sie recht nah beieinander sind.

So hi I’m Céleste, from the land of kouign amann (Bretagne) and I came here for the spinny cats. I’m a 24-years-old lesbian and a cat mom of one beautiful orange baby. Trying out she/they pronouns at the moment but I’m a bit lost gender wise so that might change.
I’m really into all kinds of #crafts but especially #fibercrafts mainly #knitting these days but I also love #crochet, #sewing, #embroidery among many others. I’ve also tried #pottery and I wish it was more accessible bc I love it so much but can’t do it at the moment. I’m interested in everything #creative (except maybe writing).
I love learning languages but I’m really not good at getting to an okay level before switching to the next one. I speak #french and #english fluently, my #swedish used to be good but I lack practice but wanna get back to it, same for #finnish and #german. Currently I’m trying to get better in #spanish and get to an okay level. I’ve also tried #russian, #icelandic, #romanian, #hungarian without great success. I’d love to try out one #sami language one day but I should focus on the other first.
Currently completing the last semester of my masters and I will complain a lot about my thesis.
I’m also dealing with chronic depression, anxiety and probably other stuffs. I very obviously hate psychiatry although I’m user of it given the lack of alternatives.

If you get a checkmate on someone without them moving their king it is called heimaskítsmát in Icelandic.
Heimaskítsmát is relatively easy to translate into English. It is formed by joining three words. Treat í as i and á as a.

Thunderous
This is gorgeous Dynjandi, it's name derived from the #Icelandic "dynja" meaning "thunder".
Situated in Arnarfjörður in the #Westfjords of #Iceland, this wedding veil of water is the topmost of seven drops.
In total, it tumbles down 100m/328ft of mountainside.
The top falls has this lovely shape - 30m/98ft wide at the top and 60m/197ft at the bottom - due to basalt steps in the rock, which slow down the water and aerate it.

Fancy A Swim?
This is gorgeous Aldeyjarfoss in mid-February, the beautiful turquoise waters of river Skjálfandafljót frozen almost to a standstill. The drop of 20 m/65.6 ft into a turbulent, icy pool is perfectly offset by the surrounding columnar jointed black basalt, part of a 9000 year old lava field named Bárðardalshraun, "hraun" being the #Icelandic word for lava.
Northern Highlands of #Iceland, in the north of Sprengisandur pass.
The opening lines of Beowulf look familiar to Icelanders who know a little bit about their language.
> Hwæt we Gardena in geardagum, þeodcyninga ...
A quick and dirty translation to Icelandic would be:
> Hvað við Geir-Danir í gærdögum, þjóðkonunga ...
Geir isn't much used in modern Icelandic, in its original sense, but it means spear. We do have the word "geirvarta" which is literally "spearwart" but actually means nipple.
I should stress that "gærdögum" isn't strictly a word in Icelandic but it is transparent as meaning "the past".
"Þjóð" usually means "nation" in modern Icelandic but can also be "people" or "group".
Of course I stop at "þeodcyninga" because then the translation gets significantly more difficult.

The #Christmas Book Flood is an #Icelandic tradition born of wartime necessity. During WWII, currency restrictions limited imports but foreign paper was an exception so, suddenly, #Iceland had plenty of paper. The resourceful Icelanders started writing, publishing, and gifting books.
A flurry of new titles is released every November and December, and Icelanders still cherish the joy of giving and reading a new book at Christmas.
