Guten Morgen!

Full Engagement.

The problem with running in an evening slot at a convention is that it's now past 1am and I'm still trying to wind my brain down.

Good run of Disco Inferno though, taking a very different route through the scenario than previous groups. In the end they did ensure that disco will never die.

My latest update is now live, adding the ability to show move results for traits as well as the basic moves, and also to hide all roll-related fields for non-rollable traits. My CSS skills are really getting a workout from this thing.

First playtest of my newest scenario today, The Heist.

Six of us are all running games based on the same pitch, in six different systems. I ran mine with four pre-gen characters, a handful of prompt questions, and a lot of use of the Kult tarot deck.

This run ended with three characters escaping and vowing never to work together again and one...well, he was somewhat changed by the experience.

Yesternight was #KultRPG. Due to life, only one player was available, so it became a #SoloRoleplaying #PenAndPaper #TTRPG session, which is much easier to do in #KultDL than in other systems. Thankfully, my players had pre-split the party for me as well, so we didn’t even have to account for it. What followed was a very suspenseful, gripping session. I really like #Solo #Kult. Under normal circumstances I dislike #SplittingTheParty but that is for another post. What counts is that it was rad!

Tonight is #Kult and I am very excited! I have a group of amazing players, who don’t shy away from making interesting choices, furthering the plot in ways that surprise me. I guess that this due to a high amount of trust. We have been playing #ttrpgs for many years together and they know I will try to make the story exciting, without being adversarial, vindictive or unnecessarily sadistic. It all started when they attended that poetry reading… #KultDL #KultRPG #penandpaper #ttrpg #horror

What #vtt are you using for your #ttrpgs ? I have been using Roll20 for several years and even subscribed, because I really like the dynamic lighting functionality, especially for #dungeon crawls like #DungeonoftheMadMage ( #DnD )! It still has a lot of issues and you have to buy the module from them (no PDF). A player of mine set up #foundryvtt for our #KultDL #KultRPG sessions, but, alas, I haven’t yet delved into it. #penandpaper #online

I love #tarot cards. I find the symbolism very interesting. I have used them in #ttrpgs before, like in #callofcthulhu scenarios. Well, #KultDL #KultRPG has it’s own Tarot deck with rules and suggestions on how to integrate it into the game and even an anthology pertaining to it! The Kult Tarot deck also has one thing setting it apart: it has five suits, which of course fit thematically into the dark atmosphere of the game. I am not affiliated with the publisher, but I really like the product!
