Ran a game of ( A hack) for 2 players last night. ~2.5 hours. The Crew set their problem to "Betrayed" and the mission roll gave me "But... it's a setup!", so of course the missing former leader was the BBEG at the end. Good times were had. I also found a convenient character sheet template on the app, so setup for online play was pretty painless.

RPG with great character gear: this is a bit older by now but I quite like how gear works in OVA. Basically you just assign some positive and negative modifiers (the same ones that also describe your character) and that's it! As long as you use the item, these modifiers apply to your character. It's really simple and elegant.

Quick to learn: Lasers & Feelings. It's just one page, how much quicker do you want it?

You're a teenager. You're a zookeeper. It's a fantasy magical petting zoo. It's a lasers and feelings game about being a Teenage Magical Zookeeper.

A game about being potentially very useless at your summer job whilst just trying to make it to the end of the day without being set on fire, bitten, covered in slime, or yelled at by the visitors.

Third session will introduce a brand new game.

@apontious If you want to go *super* rules light, you could fashion it like . Is each zombie PC more a Walker or a Runner? But of course, it really depends on what you're going for with this adventure idea, both in vibe and in what you think such PCs would actually *do*.

24. Complex/simple RPG you play?

I think Exalted and Shadowrun are among the most complex games I've played regularly.

Pretty sure Lasers & Feelings is the simplest I've ever played/run.

Champions and Powers & Perils would be the most complex games I've ever made characters for (although Champions looked like it would not be that complex in play once the characters were done).

24) Complex/Simple

Simple: Lasers & Feelings.
John Harper's free, one-page Star Trek pastiche is an extremely fun little game that always turns out a fun and ofen surprisingly profound story.

Complex: Cortex Prime.
The book presents a toolkit to assemble an RPG out of common parts, and the "assemble, roll, and choose" dice pool mechanic is fiddly and unlike any other. But once you get past the learning curve, it all makes perfect sense!
