Folks, it is about an hour until #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party. If you want to avoid a flood of toots about a goofy horror flick, consider setting up a filter.

If you'd like to join in, this week we're watching THE BAT PEOPLE (1974), which #MST3k fans will recognize as It Lives By Night. It's bad. Watch it with us! :D

You can catch the flick for free on Tubi, right over here: tubitv.com/movies/100011938/th

See you in an hour!

Full disclosure: I loathe this movie. I've only watched the #MST3k episode a couple times over the last two decades.

You know how Invasion of the Star Creatures really thought it was a hilarious movie, and that makes it super hard to watch? The Bat People is the serious version of that. It takes itself *so very seriously* that you get contact embarrassment.

Like, you're a monster movie. Please stop trying to be Days of Our Lives.

This Sunday at 9pm Eastern it's #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party! Join the us as we watch and poke fun at a very bad movie!

This week is THE BAT PEOPLE (1974), which #MST3k fans will know as It Lives By Night. Come and be lulled gently to sleep by a movie that wants to be a relationship drama but inexplicably has a bat stuck in the middle of it!

It's not available on Archive.org, but it is on Tubi, over here: tubitv.com/movies/100011938/th

Can I pick the brains of the collective #horror and #movie fans here? A decade or so ago, I "composed" a theme song for Season 3 of my internet #MST3K rip-off, Cinematic For The People.

Shortly after I made it, my computer was destroyed in a flood, and while I had the rendered versions of the song I lost all the clips I had used, as well as the list of sources.

Any of you with a keen ear and an understanding of old B-movies want to give it a listen and see if you recognize any of the dialog?
