I had forgotten how fast @Catvalente 's "Annihiliation" book reads. Faster than a Krogan going from 0 to Blood Rage. But damn good for a read and reread.

If this was based on the plot of the cancelled Andromeda DLC, it would have been an intense set of missions. Imagine having to deal with doomsday-preaching Hanar, a Hamlet-quoting Elcor and a ship VI that thinks everything is just fine when it's falling apart... among other things.

Finished Mass Effect Andromeda again. I enjoy this game and the story. A great addition to the ME universe, something different.

Hearing rumors that ME5 might bring the Jardaan as evolved Protheans who travelled to Andromeda back to the MW as the BBE had me looking for possible Prothean links during the game.

Not convinced, but fun to think about.

Surprised there are no additional missions as mods. Sad too, would like to keep playing.

Yesterday, I finished Mass Effect Andromeda. I know, I know, it's been out there a long while, and it's hardly news. Still, I'll give an opinion.

It's not a bad game, all in all. It set out to accomplish much, and often fell just a little short of that, which feels worse than not trying at all. Certainly worth it for a run. It has a lot of artificial lengthener in it, lots of collect&fetch. It's a different game than the Mass Effect trilogy, and Ryder is no Shepard.

I might be an old witch here, but a lot of the characters feel unbearably young, and there's so much sugar in the stories. Maybe that was on purpose, because ME3 could be pretty dark in places. But that also leads to the story arc feeling less deep.

As I said, I felt entertained, there was a satisfying boom at the end of the main story. But wouldn't replay in a hurry. Which is an itch that the trilogy definitely created.
