Last night I ran a large-scale game (or possibly a small-scale ?) for a student leadership summit at Monash University.

Players were employees of fictional green energy company CleanSpark. They schemed over three days to stop a rushed solar farm project with devastating impacts on local cultural sites and businesses, and hugely unethical and dangerous labor practices in its tech supply chain.

They successfully ousted the CEO pushing it through…and put me in charge!

Reparlons de Megagame: le concept me branche carrément, je suis donc en train de réfléchir à comment organiser tout ça. Je pense que c'est une bonne idée de ne pas commencer par un truc que j'ai créé moi-même. Beaucoup de pression et totale inexpérience du format font que je suis plus à l'aise pour proposer un jeu existant. Je n'abandonne pas mon projet science-fiction mais je vais jouer la sécurité.

Je vais pas trop faire de grandes annonces tant que rien n'est ficelé. Mais le projet commence à prendre son essor.

Est-ce que quelqu'un.e a déjà participé à un megagame?

C'est un jeu aux frontières entre le jeu de plateau, le GN, le JDR, Diplomacy en équipes avec un grand nombre de joueureuses (on parle en dizaines de participant.es).
J'ai eu une idée de jeu pour ce format mais je n'y ai jamais joué et je souhaiterais avoir quelques retours avant de me lancer complètement.

My role was as General Blucher, the senior Prussian Military Commander and also the Commander of the joint Prussian-Russian Army of Silesia. We started off during the ceasefire period of August 1813, with my army in the furthest South East section of the map, in Reichenbach, near Breslau, in what I think is now Poland. The other member of my team was Mike Young, playing a Russian General. Our orders were to stay put until a general plan of action had been agreed. The initial army council of war having failed to set an objective other than to defeat Napoleon. We were up against Marshal Ney’s army, which was immediately to our front across a river.
