#MiddleEarthRolePlaying was published 40 years ago this year, and that's almost how long it's been since I last played it.

The #Tolkien estate revoked the license in 1999 and ICE went bust the next year. I don't know the exact circumstances, but as shooting the #LotR #films started in 1999, I suppose it was something to do with merchandising rights.

Just bought a copy of #MERP on Ebay in a fit of nostalgia. This is the #GamesWorkshop edition that was published in the UK in 1985.
