<Ecstatic heavy breathing>
Sister Agnes? Are you OK?
My painting skills continue to slowly improve. I bulk primed almost my entire collection and have decided that any mech taking damage gets painted before it can be fielded again.
Naturally I decided this right before starting a mercenary campaign that includes two total mechs so far. Maybe I'll get to paint some tanks next week? #battletech #miniaturepainting #miniatures #mechwarriors
Funny coincidence at the Infinity tournament yesterday when I noticed my Parvati was standing in front of a billboard of Parvati. #miniaturepainting
The paint stripping from the other week went surprisingly smoothly. I hadn't heard of LA's Totally Awesome before watching a Goobertown video, but I gave it a shot. Worked like a charm after two days in the drink (diluted about 1:3).
But up next I think I'm in the mood to paint a printed Wood Elf team I picked up a few months ago. Did a few color tests for the uniform last night and red with orange is winning. Autumnal Rumblers?
Painting studio and bedroom are not a good mix.
I.e. shaking an improperly closed paint dropper next to a bed doesn’t lead to a happy ending.
Another humble paint job but I’m pretty proud of this one. This was from @steamforged’s P3 speed #MiniaturePainting competition at #GenCon. Speed painting is NOT my forte so getting something like this finished in an hour was real growth for me!
Participated in Wyrd Games’s Iron Brush #MiniaturePainting competition at #GenCon this morning. Using only whatever brushes and paints are left at the end of the con and confronted with mischief like needing to paint off-handed having your palette stolen, do your damndest.
Definitely not my proudest achievement but I finished with something not completely horrendous. Ish?
I'm already planning my base for the Mini of the Month for August.
Half lava, half ice, snow and crystals.
And most likely a Salamander, because this guy is very slick for a Space Wolf, Blood Claw or not!
So lots of colours! Cold from one side, fire from the other. That'll be fun to paint!

Vision and Spider-Woman
Terrible hotel room photos of two of my theee #GenCon #MiniaturePainting competition entries. I didn’t get the third because I need to reglue units to their bases when I get home!
The finished model of Jane Doe! (Well I did break the tail, so it is missing) I did procrastinate a lot on this model. But now I am happy with the result. Learned a lot doing it. #3DPrinting #figurine #miniaturepainting #Nerdlings #zzz #Anime #VideoGames
Brother in law gifted me a whole new drill set for my Bolter needs!
It's great! Look at my little guy and his little weapon!
The face and eyes are usually the most dreadful parts for me. But this time I even quite enjoyed it. The model had the parts embossed. So you at least knew where to paint what. Jane Doe as black hair going into red in the pony tail, so I makes the face with putty and airbrushed a gradient. First with white ink, than with magenta and red inks. #zzz #figurine #miniaturePainting #VideoGames #Anime #airbrush
This model was btw my first try in simulating pantyhose on a model. I used masking fluid and a mix of washes through an airbrush. Today I had to try some free handing some of the details like on here Fanny pack and shoes. And the base was a nice drybrush practice. #zzz #figurine #MiniaturePainting #VideoGames #Anime
