I used to have (well, still do!) an app that would synchronise all of my health data between various apps, such that things like exercise from MapMyRun wouldn't be double-counted with steps from Samsung Health. I've switched to Strava for exercise and it doesn't synch with that, unfortunately.
Anyone know of an app that will synch Strava, MyFitnessPal (for nutrition/food), and Samsung Health? Google has failed me.
I’ve been using #MyFitnessPal to track meals. It has good features but it’s possibly one of the most invasive apps out there when it comes to data collection. I literally need to pause 1Blocker every time I log in or else it refuses to work - and it’s the paid version. #fitness #foodtracking
Back using #MyFitnessPal for #CalorieCounting, because that and three times a week exercise works for me. And I need the weight loss for the sake of my knees, if nothing else!
But I'm almost instantly reminded that most people shouldn't be let near data entry. "Verified" entries that have no carb/fat/protein info, or even things like "1g, 255 kCal"? Really?
Yes, I am the sort of person who will import a recipe, check and input all the values, and then save for future use! Why do you ask?
I started using #MyFitnessPal because I'm sadistic and now I'm freaking out because I don't get anywhere near the amount of protein I need apparently and I don't know what to do about that because one can only have so many protein shakes a day.
Has #myfitnesspal been hacked? Haven't used it in years but had a unique email address registered there and it just received spam trying to get me to renew UK TV licence. Sure Jan
I made 2 sandwiches with hummus and vegan high protein slices for lunch. I decided to enter them in #myFitnessPal... 1000KCal
Anyone do #calorieTracking? I have #MyFitnessPal and it works OK, but it's just so tedious having to deal with this
Trying to lose ~10kg fat (+/- gain some muscle ) ready for #DragonRide and #IMWales in 2024
Calorie counting with #MyFitnessPal works for me. But is the “calorie adjustment” it pulls from my #Garmin in any way accurate? Seems very stingy - like “sure you buried yourself in that workout, but I’m deducting you 600kcal for sitting down in clinic all day”
trying #MyFitnessPal again after a few years and it's completely broken… absolutely basic functionality like “i can put things in a list” doesn't work, it's actually unbelievable. how are they getting people to pay for it?
Last week I've done well! I managed to get 500 calories below my usual calories. I exercise a lot, but definitely not enough to not gain with my previous amount of calories.
I have an eating disorder, so staying within a goal is terribly hard! But I'm trying and hopefully it will help me to go from obese to overweight in a while.
Calories were edited in #MyFitnesspal and these averages are from #SamsungHealth.
When #MyFitnessPal goes down it's painful. I have soup to log, dammit!

I've used #MyFitnessPal for years to keep track of:
1) what I eat
2) my weight
3) cals burned
It only tracks what you are doing so that you can't lie to yourself about it. I lost over 40# twice (twice because I relapsed once) and have been able to maintain my weight for many years w/in an acceptable range since then.
In other news, I'm tracking my calories via #MyFitnessPal and calorie burn via #Fitbit, so expect them to have sync issues for several days as that's usually what happens when I start a diet.
