I was deeply honored to see crossworld linkshells appear across the North American #FFXIV data centers both supporting me and spreading the good word of #Jijivisa to all!
The Heralds of Jijivisa (pronounced "jee-jee-vee-sha") is my free company on #Mateus in the #Crystal data center that has also served as a hub for the amazing folks I've met as I've traveled #Eorzea and the wider world of #Etheirys. The word means "hope for life" or "the intense desire to live and to continue living life to the fullest," and that's what this wonderful group has meant for and inspired in me. We've enjoyed weekly #RP events for years, we've started doing a lot more #OOC events, and now we're also in both #Aether and #Primal.
These weren't things that I asked for, so I'm deeply grateful and delighted by the trust and generosity of those who have seen in me the kind of person that I've worked so hard to become. (And in my actions the courage to speak truth to those who would obfuscate it.)
This could have been a rough day, considering the issues I encountered and consequences I experienced simply by advocating for myself and others in a certain FFXIV group that turned out to be less than what anyone hoped for. Instead it was one of love, support, and affirmation. I can't say thank you enough to those who helped me make lemonade out of toxic lemons.
It's so easy to get discouraged sometimes, when you stand for a principle and it costs you something. But this has been a nice reminder that, as long as you're doing the right thing, you will never find yourself alone.
