#Spoiler-free 10-second (well...) #movie #review(s) ... just catching up on a couple I saw over the last few years.
They Cloned Tyrone (2023) - one of the best #SciFi movies I've seen in years. It's *good* scifi in that it's not about SCIENCE_THING, it's about people and the way that the world around them affects their lives. SciFi that non-scifi-fans can enjoy. Fantastic #cast.
Promising Young Woman (2020) - a psychological thriller, mostly, but difficult to classify in parts, including elements of black comedy and other categories. It is at the same time disturbing and engrossing. It's been about three years since I saw it, and I *still* think about it regularly, which to me is the sign of a truly significant #film. Carey Mulligan was nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award that year - it's a shame she didn't win, though she did win best #actress in other #awards contests. The film did take Best Original Screenplay at the #Oscars.
